Happy Women’s Day!

Dee greeted when I logged in my YM.

So! Here is something to commemorate our existence to the face of the planet..

If you kiss her, you are not a gentleman
If you don’t, you are not a man
If you praise her, she thinks you are lying
If you don’t, you are good for nothing
If you agree to all her likes, you are a wimp
If you don’t, you are not understanding
If you visit her often, she thinks it is boring
If you don’t, she accuses you of double-crossing
If you are well dressed, she says you are a playboy
If you don’t, you are a dull boy
If you are jealous, she says it’s bad
If you don’t, she thinks you do not love her
If you attempt a romance, she says you didn’t respect her
If you don’t, she thinks you do not like her
If you are a minute late, she complains it’s hard to wait
If she is late, she says that’s a girl’s way
If you visit another man, you’re not putting in "quality time"
If she is visited by another woman, "oh it’s natural, we are girls"
If you kiss her once in a while, she professes you are cold
If you kiss her often, she yells that you are taking advantage
If you fail to help her in crossing the street, you lack ethics
If you do, she thinks it’s just one of men’s tactics for seduction
If you stare at another woman, she accuses you of flirting
If she is stared by other men, she says that they are just admiring
If you talk, she wants you to listen
If you listen, she wants you to talk

So simple, yet so complex
So weak, yet so powerful
So confusing, yet so desirable
So damning, yet so wonderful…

After A While
Veronica A. Shoffstall

After a while you learn
the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn
that love doesn’t mean leaning
and company doesn’t always mean security.
And you begin to learn
that kisses aren’t contracts
and presents aren’t promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child
and you learn
to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow’s ground is
too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling down
in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
that even sunshine burns
if you get too much
so you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone
to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure
you really are strong
you really do have worth
and you learn
and you learn
with every goodbye, you learn…

Again, HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY!!!

Speaking of thanks. Thanks Mike for the silicon cover for my shuffle.

Weakness, childhood, suicide, friends
Monday March 05th 2007, 9:12 am

Have you ever felt so submerged in your weakness? When you thought you
have yourself a good grip and ready to pull yourself up, something will
hold you by your feet to keep you from coming out. Can one really
overcome their weakness? How do you deal with them? What if that
weakness is something you come across everyday? Is there such thing as
getting used to it?

Oh how I dream to go back to my
childhood and live carelessly despite what the world brings. Prancing
around the flower field. Laughing. Running until I get tired and slump
myself on the dirt. Staring at the ants, marching their way to their
castle. Rolling over and look up to the sky looking for figures that
the clouds make. Hearing the trees rustle as the warm breeze make its
grand entrance. But I’m not a child anymore.

Have you
ever thought of suicide? I did… many times. Why you ask? I was sad.
Really sad. Not because of someone like I broke up with my boyfriend or
something. Could it be problems? Maybe. I don’t know. I was enveloped
with pure sadness that nothing, nothing can make me happy anymore. If
so, why endure it further? Why not just end it and free yourself from
this… pain? Coward? Is it "easy" for you to kill yourself? It’s
always been easy to say something than placing yourself on their shoes.

How
great it is to have friends! How they give you inspiration and reason
to make you smile, to make your heart skip a beat, to fill you with joy
and gladness! Gives you the kind of security that you know they’ll
always be there when you need them or when someone bullies you. It’s
like having lots of bodyguard hahaha! When you feel down, you know
you’ll have someonesssss to hug you tightly that you can’t breath no
more. Friends give you something to look forward to each day. I love my
friends!

Bridge to Terabithia

I thought the movie Bridge to Terabithia is somehow in line  with the likes of The Chronicles of Narnia but it turned out entirely different.

The
movie is about the friendship of a boy (who loves to draw) and a girl
(who loves to tell stories of fantasies). They found a place where
their imagination happens and called it Terabithia.

I think the
fantasy part just gave "oomph" to the friendship part. It’s a really
good and heart-warming story that it even made me cry. Honestly, I don’t remember when was the last time I cried in a movie. I even heard someone sniffing around us on that scene. It’s very unexpected.

I’m
finally finished reading the 5th installment of Harry Potter’s series -
Order of the Phoenix and now starting Half Blood Prince. The book
didn’t have much "action" in it. It mainly revolved around Umbridge’s
annoying authority over Hogwarts and a little bit of "others." It was
at the last few chapters where Harry and the rest of his friends faced
the escaped Death Eaters and Voldemort got me interesting. I hope this
book won’t take me long. I finished the other 4 approximately 1 week
each (hey! I’m not a fast reader!).

How tired I am of this unbearable distance between us.
How I long for the toll of the recess bell.
Have you forgotten me?
Grow mindless of me?
Tell me I am not riding in to an abyss
or that is what will become of my heart?

I got this video from Gelo’s blog.

Seriously, I don’t think that kid doesn’t need grammar lessons anymore.

G-spot is a dog’s spot

I
browsed Mike’s newly bought FHM magazine and saw this section asking
girls an unknown term. I forgot what section is that. Anyway question
goes like "What is the Grafenberg Spot?" Dyos ko po ang mga sagot!

"A World War II spot"
"A Dalmatian Spot"

WTH! At least one of them got the answer right.

I’ll
update the other 3 answers but these two… *sigh* They’re pretty pa
naman. I know, I know. Looks doesn’t come with "intelligence" but it’s
part of a woman’s body! At least the first thing you’ll want to know is
about your body diba?
